Why we are building a health app that does not yell at you.
Because the rest already do. And it does not seem to have helped.
There's a moment, somewhere between the third "You crushed it!" notification and the next day you skip a workout, when you realise your health app does not know you. It coaches you. There is a difference.
Otto starts from a different premise: you are an adult. You know what you eat. You know when you slept poorly. What you don't have is a place where this data — sleep, food, movement, blood pressure, heart rate — meets.
What we don't do
No streaks. Streaks generate anxiety, not habits. People who skip a day feel they've lost everything. That is a dark pattern, not motivation.
No badges. Adults do not collect stickers for drinking water.
No panicked notifications. Otto observes. Otto does not chase you.
No comparing you to other users. Your health is not a scoreboard.
What we do
We read the data already on your phone — from Health Connect on Android, from Apple Health on iPhone. We bring it together. We look for scientifically documented patterns across domains. We tell you what we found. The rest stays with you.
Otto observes. That's it.
Why "founderless"
You will not see a founder photo on our page. Otto is a brand, not a personality cult. That means Otto can grow beyond the people who built it without having to reinvent itself.
Privacy
Your health data is special category under GDPR Art. 9. That is not marketing — that is law. Not sold, not shared, not surfaced in ads, not used to train public AI models. Granular consent per metric. Real deletion within 30 days, anytime.
Money
Real free tier, not crippled. Plus tier at €9.99/month or €49.99/year. The first 500 sign-ups lock in €29.99/year permanently. "Forever" does not mean "until the next funding round". It means as long as Otto exists.
No ads. No data sales. No VC pressure for hypergrowth. Sustainable, not viral.
